Job summary
A local auto body shop is seeking an auto body technician for a permanent position in Kensington, Prince Edward Island. The role involves cleaning workspaces, repairing vehicle components, and repainting surfaces. Candidates should have no specific educational requirements, though experience is considered an asset. The position offers 40 hours of work per week, primarily in English.
Qualifications
- No degree, certificate or diploma.
- Experience in auto body repair is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain work space.
- Replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components.
- File, grind and sand body surfaces to be repaired.
- Hammer out dents, buckles and defects using blocks and hammers.
- Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills and bolt or weld replacement parts into place.
- Apply primers and repaint surfaces.
- Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams.
- Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment.
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Experience: Experience an asset.
