Job summary
A local educational institution in Prince George seeks a dedicated individual to support Indigenous student success through outreach and program development. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant bachelor's degree and strong advocacy skills for Indigenous educational needs, with a passion for lifelong learning. This full-time role includes community engagement and collaborative projects focused on enhancing the academic experiences of Indigenous learners.
Qualifications
- 3 years or more experience in a post-secondary setting, working with Indigenous community members.
- Lived knowledge of the kinds of experiences Indigenous students bring to the College.
- Understanding of the history and awareness of walking in two worlds.
Responsibilities
- Engage Indigenous students through an understanding of Indigenous education history.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities.
- Plan and facilitate workshops to support student academic success.
