Job summary
A local painting and decorating company in Canada seeks a skilled painter to prepare and finish surfaces. Responsibilities include surface prep, mixing paints, applying finishes, and advising customers on color choices. Candidates should have at least 7 months of experience, pay attention to detail, and have strong hand-eye coordination. This is a physically demanding role without remote work options.
Qualifications
- 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted.
- Repair cracks and holes.
- Mix paint to desired colour and texture.
- Measure, cut and apply wallpaper and other fabric.
- Advise consumers on colours and wall coverings.
- Erect scaffolding and attach rigging.
- Apply paint, wallpaper and finishes surfaces.
- Estimate costs and materials.
