Job Description
GI is looking for an Inside Sales and Procurement Associate. The candidate will be an integral part of our closely-knit team and will be responsible for all sourcing and purchasing of equipment and products for the company across the world.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse technical data and specifications of the equipment and supplies requirements.
- Analyse all suppliers to select the most suitable ones who can deliver high-quality products at competitive pricing.
- Negotiate with suppliers on lead-time, cost, and quality to obtain the maximum benefit for the company.
- Develop purchasing or sourcing strategies and supplier preferencing studies.
- Liaise with suppliers on delivery schedules to ensure on-time deliveries of final products.
- Develop, implement, and drive procurement strategies to meet cost savings targets.
- Review and manage the supplier base to ensure consistency with the sourcing strategy.
- Coordinate with vendors on continuous quality improvement.
Required Skills and Attributes
- Able to analyse technical documents and specifications to understand critical requirements.
- High-level verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with office software, specifically Microsoft Excel or similar programs.
- Ability to negotiate commercial terms and manage the supply chain to the customer.
- This job role requires close coordination with our offices in India and the United States; communication skills are an integral part.
Preferred Qualifications
- BBA / MBA / Degree in logistics or supply chain management / BBM.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical fields, capable of understanding customer’s technical requirements.
- Preferred 1 year of relevant experience as a Sales and Purchase Coordinator.
