Jobbeschreibung
Job Requirements
- A National Diploma in Purchasing Management / Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years experience with relevant purchasing knowledge of raw materials with complex specifications, including experience with imports.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in supervising or managing staff in a purchasing environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage staff involved in purchasing activities.
- Purchase various goods including machinery, equipment, raw materials, and other supplies for internal use.
- Review purchase orders, coordinate with other departments, contact vendors, and evaluate bids/quotations.
- Assist in developing and implementing purchasing procedures, inventory management, and related documentation.
- Conduct inventory counts and stock checks as needed.
- Negotiate prices, delivery terms, and sources of supply following company policies.
- Maintain daily procurement outputs and verify charges on purchase orders against cost centers.
- Assess bids for substitute items and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Utilize ERP systems for processing procurement documentation.
- Manage importation processes for raw materials.
- Oversee stock ordering and monitor inventory levels.
- Evaluate supplier bids and monitor supplier performance regarding delivery, quality, and quantity.
- Identify and establish reliable sources of supply and inspect samples as needed.
- Expedite shipments by liaising with vendors regarding shortages, overcharges, and damages.
- Gather information for proposals and specifications.
- Maintain reference files such as catalogs and brochures.
- Perform other related tasks as required.
