A leading executive search firm is seeking a General Manager in Johannesburg to oversee business activities in sales and after-sales for their mining sector client. The role entails managing a large team, developing business strategies, and ensuring high customer satisfaction. Ideal candidates will possess extensive senior-level experience in the mining sector, strong leadership skills, and a results-driven approach.
Large, well established and very profitable Group is seeking a Sales Driven General Manager for one of their businesses to oversee all business activities relating to sales and after-sales, parts planning and distribution in South Africa as well as managing neighbouring and Sub-Saharan countries. This role includes all organisational matters including the effective management of staff. Direct Subordinates who form the Management Team are: Sales Manager, Customer Services Manager, Parts Manager and Manufacturing Manager. There is great emphasis in this role on business development and sales. Customers include the Mine Owners / Mining Houses and Mine Contractors. This candidate will also concentrate on short-term and long-term profitability with focus on agreed annual and mid-term targets in sales, market share and customer service. In addition, stock holding needs to be optimised with emphasis on spare parts, controlling WIP and ensure sustainable growth.
