FINANCIAL MANAGER: COMMERCIAL

Fruitways is a leading agri‑business in South Africa. We specialise in the growing, packing and marketing of apples and pears to retailers, traders and wholesalers around the globe.

We are looking for a self‑motivated, driven and competent Financial Manager who has an in-depth understanding of accounting principles, grower payments pooling principles and forex transactions in a complex environment. This position reports to the General Manager: Commercial and is based at our offices in Somerset West, Western Cape.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting function for local and international fruit sales
• Manage grower payment processes, including cost recovery, forecasting, and settlements with contracting packing facilities
• Prepare monthly management accounts, forecasts, and financial reports
• Lead and develop the commercial accounting team, driving efficient, scalable structures and continuous process improvement
• Provide management oversight of the operational systems for fruit sales activities
• Responsible for overseeing and optimizing the debtors function and effective credit and risk management to support the cash flow requirements

Requirements
