Job Description

Technical Support

• Maintain optimal operation of the wind farm at all times, ensuring maximum availability.
• Proactively repair or replace components to prevent failures or downtime.
• Service, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components of wind turbines following manufacturer guidelines.
• Regularly use control, instrumentation, telecommunication, and electrical engineering concepts during work activities.
• Assist the Turbine Assistants with technical tasks.
• Ensure turbines operate efficiently while adhering to safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
• Apply troubleshooting, corrective, predictive, and preventive maintenance and inspections, addressing incidents that could affect operations.
• Supervise specialists and subcontractors during major component exchanges or maintenance.
• Perform wind turbine and substation switching under supervision.

Reporting

• Record tasks daily in the O&M management systems (MAXIMO, RDO, etc.).
• Provide daily updates to the team and stakeholders post-work.
• Report safety issues, incidents, or near misses to management.
• Notify warehouse of material consumption and low stock levels promptly.

Tools and Equipment

• Manage tools, materials, company property, and vehicles responsibly.
• Maintain logistics and maintenance management systems and other tools provided.

Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) Compliance

• Ensure adherence to SHE policies and report incidents or near misses immediately.

Other

• Support ad hoc requests and projects to promote company goals.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Mechanical or electrical qualification (minimum N2) or SARETEC technician certification.
• 0-1 years of experience as a wind turbine technician, with AW3000 experience preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office, Maximo, and SAP.
• Aptitude for working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and in teams.
• Physically fit and capable of working at heights.

Ability to work irregular hours, shifts, and standby, with prompt response to call-outs.
