Are you reliable and committed to efficiency?We’re looking for a Print Operator to join our dynamic team at KFC Rohloff Group. The Print Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining printing equipment to produce high-quality printed materials according to company standards and client requirements, including managing vinyl printing, large-format printing, sticker production, and banner output. This role ensures timely production, adherence to specifications, and compliance with safety and quality guidelines.

What You'll Be Cooking Up:
  • Print Production & Machine Operation: Ability to operate and manage large-format printers and related equipment to ensure efficient and high-quality output.
  • Software & File Preparation: Proficiency in RIP software and design tools for preparing, optimizing, and troubleshooting print-ready files.
  • Cutting, Finishing & Assembly: Skilled in precision cutting, laminating, and assembling printed materials to meet project specifications.
  • Vinyl & Media Application: Expertise in applying vinyl graphics and other media to various surfaces, ensuring accuracy and durability.
  • Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Competence in performing routine maintenance and resolving technical issues to minimize downtime.
  • Quality Assurance: Strong attention to detail for monitoring color accuracy, material integrity, and overall print quality.
  • Inventory & Workflow Management: Ability to manage stock levels, organize materials, and maintain efficient production workflows.
What You'll Bring to the Table:
  • National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification
  • 2+ years of hands‑on experience operating large-format printers (e.g., Mimaki, Roland, HP Latex) with a strong understanding of print production workflows.
  • Proficiency in RIP software such as Raster Link, Onyx, Versa Works, or FlexiPrint for file preparation and color management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in vinyl application across various surfaces, including glass, walls, equipment, vehicles, and signage.
  • Skilled in finishing techniques such as trimming, laminating, mounting, and general assembly of printed materials.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of print media and materials, including vinyl types, substrates, color profiles, and calibration processes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot printing equipment and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance.
  • Previous experience in a print shop, signage, or production environment, with a strong understanding of operational workflows.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer literacy, including file handling, job setup, scaling, and color profile adjustments.
  • Strong teamwork and independent work capabilities, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Physical ability to handle heavy rolls, substrates, and perform installations safely.
  • Commitment to following SOPs, safety standards, and quality assurance guidelines to maintain consistency and compliance
