Vacancy: Lecturer, School of Humanities and Social Sciences
Duties And Responsibilities
Lecturing
- Deliver lectures on programmes (must include IIE qualifications) across various modes of delivery as applicable.
- Mark assessments and provide feedback to students. May also moderate assessment scripts within their subject areas across IIE sites where necessary.
Lecturer Development and Support
- Contribute to lecturer development through peer reviews, workshops, and consultations.
Student Development & Support
- Lead and manage academic support for a specific programme and its students.
- Monitor student success and implement support strategies when needed.
Research & Scholarship
- Foster a culture of scholarship within their discipline and contribute to the college’s research output targets.
Competencies Required
- Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
- Proactive work and self-management abilities.
- Proven effective teaching record based on reflective practice.
- Ability to manage relationships with staff and managers effectively.
- Passion for customer service.
- Experience with technology-enhanced learning is advantageous.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Communications or English.
Minimum Work Experience Requirements
- At least 5 years of teaching and learning experience, preferably in an educational environment.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday: 08:00 - 17:00
