A financial services agency in Stellenbosch is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage financial systems, oversee compliance with SA tax laws, and ensure timely financial reporting. Qualifications
- Proven capability in BBBEE reporting and compliance.
- Strong grasp of South African tax laws, including VAT and income tax.
- Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.
Responsibilities
- Implement and manage financial systems accurately.
- Oversee invoicing, bank reconciliations, and payment processes.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and budgets.
- Manage tax compliance and liaise with SARS.
- Contribute to BBBEE reporting efforts.

Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Registered Tax Practitioner (with SARS).
- Solid track record in BBBEE reporting.
- Strong QuickBooks (or similar) experience.
- Knowledgeable in BBBEE compliance and reporting.
- Sound grasp of SA tax laws, VAT, income tax, and CIPC.
- Proven financial planning and budget management skills.
- Detail-driven, analytical, and deadline-focused.
- Resourceful problem-solver, especially around invoicing and disputes.
- Able to work independently while juggling multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage our financial systems with precision.
- Oversee invoicing, bank reconciliations, and payment processes.
- Ensure monthly financial processing is timely and accurate.
- Prepare budgets, monthly management accounts, and AFS-ready entries.
- Lead tax compliance (VAT, Income Tax) and liaise directly with SARS.
- Administer asset tracking and insurance policy updates.
- Manage BBBEE compliance and contribute to reporting efforts.
- Serve as the point person for financial reporting across internal and external stakeholders.
