Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in Johannesburg is seeking a Financial Accountant to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records and reporting. The role demands expertise in tax compliance, cash flow management, and audit preparation. Ideal candidates are newly qualified CAs with strong analytical skills and a firm grasp of accounting standards. This position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

  • Newly qualified CA(SA) or SAIPA.
  • Completed SAICA / SAIPA Articles.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare month-end reports and reconciliations.
  • Oversee cash flow and EFT releases.
  • Manage supplier reconciliations and debtor analysis.
  • Maintain fixed asset register and calculate depreciation.
  • Liaise with External Auditors and assist with tax compliance.
  • Manage BEE scorecard and participate in audits.

Skills

Knowledge of accounting standards
Understanding of VAT
Analytical skills
Excellent communication
Strong MS Excel skills
Experience with ERP systems

Matric (Grade 12)
