Clinical/Scientific studies
Identify key sites and investigators to conduct evidence-based studies to demonstrate values of products and services.
Engage affiliates teams to conduct clinical studies aligned to regional business objectives.
Project management supported scientific/clinical studies, including disbursement of research grants.
Work with investigators and internal teams in analyzing study results and troubleshooting problems.
Support investigators to publish study in peer-reviewed international journals as appropriate.
Continually engage internal and external stakeholders on critical gap analysis of products and services.
Management of Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
Identify and develop KOLs through local affiliate meetings, regional and international conferences.
Maintain partnering relationships with KOLs and support development of round table discussions/expert information forums on key business objectives.
Support development of KOL database for optimal utilization of KOLs with product marketing teams
Leverage KOLs for the development and update of educational materials/training/ local and webinar presentations
Internal and External customer education
Support Clinical and Product Marketing Team to disseminate key findings of clinical/ scientific research.
Develop scientific materials/ tools to educate internal and external customers on products and technologies.
Gather feedback of events in relation to speakers and contents to identify key focus areas for education across affiliates.
Provide follow ups to customers’ requests for scientific/ clinical information.
Maintain and keep up to date a scientific literature database to support scientific education.
Supporting meetings/collaterals/exhibitions
Conceptualize innovative initiatives to support marketing strategy while maintaining scientific integrity, including organizing scientific seminars and providing scientific expertise or support in major scientific symposia and events.
Support Clinical Marketing to develop, edit, and review scientific collaterals to ensure clinical/scientific accuracy, relevance for target audiences, and alignment to strategic objectives.
Stay current with the latest trends and developments in the IVD field
Support event surveys to develop insights into regional clinical practice and gaps
Department Administrative Activities
Maintain and facilitate distribution of Scientific Materials to all regional affiliate and distributor companies.
Develop and plan various features of Scientific Affairs website in alignment with business objectives.
Update and maintain the scientific resources along with corporate marketing and follow up on feedback.
Support regional scientific events in relation to scientific themes/messages and work closely with affiliates in planning and execution.
Job Requirements:
At least a Ph.D. in relevant Sciences or MBBS
2 – 4 years of scientific research experience in relevant subject areas or good knowledge of major divisions of laboratory medicine
Solid understanding of molecular biology techniques, including:
PCR
Flow cytometry
Next Generation Sequencing (NGS)
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Confident in delivering scientific presentations on stage
Basic knowledge of study design for evaluating IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic) products
Statistically literate with the ability to assemble and manage complex datasets
