Programming & Production (Advertising, Arts & Media)

  • Support with the planning, organising, administration and execution of the museum’s public programmes which include conferences and talks, film screenings artist-led performances, collaborative showcases, and other public events organised throughout the year.
  • Track project timelines, budgets, logistics plans, technical production needs and event schedules, ensuring every aspect of the museum’s commitment to the programme stays on schedule.
  • Act as a liaison between artists, collaborators, third-party vendors, the museum and Marina Bay Sands other teams as needed.
  • Coordinate and deliver production and logistics aspects such as schedule preparation, technical production liaison, permits/licensing application and follow up, ground transport, travel and hospitality arrangements for ArtScience Museum’s collaborators.
  • Assist with site walk-throughs, planning, set-up, deployment, run and load-out, ensuring safe working conditions in compliance with Workplace Safety and Health regulations.
  • Support frontline and backend operations, working closely with internal teams (Visitor Services, MICE, Technical, Security, Facilities, Visual Media, MarComms Social, Museum Services, Exhibitions) to ensure event success and adherence to protocols.
  • Liaise on approved write-ups and images for marketing, social media and other promotional platforms.
  • Work with Marina Bay Sands’ e-Commerce and Destination Marketing teams on setting up webpages for ArtScience Museum’s various Programmes, updating ArtScience Museum ticketing pages and where assistance is required.
  • Support vendor communications pertaining to their services as needed.
  • Coordinate evaluation of programmes, including collating feedback for data analysis and reporting.
  • Conduct post-event evaluation to identify and implement areas of improvements as needed.
  • Assist with record keeping and organise documentation of working documents, content files, audio-visual materials, etc.
  • Supporting other projects and duties as assigned.
  • Other duties as directed.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education & Certification

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in arts management, cultural studies or other relevant qualification.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a museum or cultural organisation
  • A good understanding of the museum-sector in Singapore
  • Strong awareness and interest in the Exhibitions, Programmes and Educational activities at ArtScience Museum
  • Good communications skills, including good conversation manners in person, online and on the telephone
  • Good understanding about how to set realistic targets, and monitor progress against targets
  • Strong executional, time-management and prioritisation skills, with ability to pay attention to details
  • Ability to manage and execute multiple tasks with competing deadlines
  • Administratively competent with computer skills, including experience of using Microsoft Office applications, and experience of using and managing databases;
  • Good network of contacts in higher education institutions in Singapore
  • Knowledge in Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator
  • Experience of website content management systems such as JIRA or others
  • The ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations;
  • Be able to make decisions and accept responsibility;
  • A team player with good interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent management and negotiation skills;
  • Able to multitask efficiently, manage and organise workload with a focus on positive outcomes and solutions;
  • Pro-active and self-motivated.
