Job Description

ABOUT YOUR ROLE :

The Market Development Manager (ASEAN) will be responsible, as a part of a team, for driving top line growth and developing new business opportunities utilizing a full suite of Avery Dennison Smartrac RFID solutions and products for multiple focus industries, including Retail, Healthcare, Logistics or Ecommerce.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Lead, enable and own responsibility for execution and sales results for Retail, Healthcare, Logistics or Ecommerce.
  • Identify and develop long-term strategic business opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with line-of-business partners at customers’ organizations.
  • Act as a business innovation lead for customers’ and prospects’ strategic digital identity initiatives supporting Supply chain transparency including Retail, Healthcare, Logistics or Ecommerce.
  • Develop trusting, lucrative business relationships with key decision makers as a proponent of RFID technology integration initiatives.
  • Work with prospective customers to identify unmet needs, and present compelling solutions.
  • Communicate and link key value propositions and differentiators to customers with Avery Dennison Smartrac solutions set.
  • Initiate, determine, and present ROI business case analysis.
  • Craft customized go-to-market strategies for regions and individual customers.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends by attending trade shows, events and staying on top of market insights as well as global branding trends.
  • Build a positive relationship with key influencers and foster healthy ecosystem partner communities.
  • Incorporate knowledge of the industry to engage with ecosystem partners to develop market-right products, support materials and pricing recommendations across RFID solutions.
  • Collaborate with other Avery Dennison business units to identify and evaluate opportunities that convert into “land and expand” outcomes.
  • Support the creation of Sales training content and tutorials for internal and external partners.
  • Identify, assess, develop and manage new programs and new business opportunities leading to successful commercialization efforts.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience across the ASEAN region in business development or sales, with expertise in Retail, Healthcare, Logistics or Ecommerce.
  • Deep understanding of ASEAN markets and dynamics.
  • Experience in RFID, NFC or related technologies will be an advantage.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing new business opportunities, including "top down-bottom up" account strategies.
  • Strong ability to develop and execute go-to-market strategies within a cross-functional matrix structure.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing customer experience strategies focused on business outcomes.
  • Exceptional relationship building skills, including:
    • Building trusted advisor relationships with senior-level decision makers.
    • Managing and enabling technology/RFID industry partnerships.
    • Engaging with industry associations and ecosystem partners.
  • Strong business acumen with solid understanding of finance and ROI analysis.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Storytelling and presentation abilities.
  • Cross-functional influence and stakeholder management.
  • Strong project management skills with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with proven ability to lead in a cross-functional environment.
  • Results-oriented approach with focus on continuous improvement.
  • Fluency in English and at least one other Asian language highly preferred.
  • Ability to travel internationally frequently.
