Job summary

A prominent engineering firm in Malaysia seeks a BIM Technical Support professional to provide technical assistance in construction projects by developing 3D BIM models and simulating complex systems. You will collaborate with diverse teams, conduct virtual design studies, and ensure project specifications are met. Ideal candidates should hold a relevant engineering degree and have 1-2 years of experience, with fresh graduates encouraged to apply. Proficiency in 3D modeling tools is preferred. This role offers a great opportunity for growth and contribution to innovative construction methods.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in preparing 3D models and/or working on building construction sites.
  • Fresh graduates with a passion for contributing to BIM development are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Developing/Enhancing 3D models for coordination works and shop drawing.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for BIM solutions.
  • Perform design and constructability study virtually before construction.
  • Review and ensure consultants' designs according to specifications.
  • Issue RFIs, design options/changes, and follow up closely.
  • Work with senior design engineers on engineering solutions.
  • Collaborate with Site Operation & Production teams.
  • Lead draftspersons/3D modellers assigned to the project.
  • Participate in technical and operational discussions.
  • Adhere to Quality, Safety & Health and Environment matters.

Skills

Proficiency in 3D modeling tools such as Autodesk Revit
Familiarity with other 3D modeling software like SketchUp, SolidWorks, or Autodesk Inventor

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
