Join our team and take charge of driving vehicle part localization from start to finish — from feasibility study and supplier sourcing to development, approval, and adoption at each trial stage. This role is crucial in ensuring that locally produced parts meet the stringent specifications and requirements of our global principal, while also contributing to the growth of Malaysia’s automotive supplier ecosystem.

1. New Project Localization Feasibility

  • Assess technical and development possibilities to ensure projects are viable and competitive.
2. Promote Localization
  • Plan and propose local sourcing strategies for new models.
  • Identify and recommend capable suppliers for specific items, creating opportunities for local adoption.
3. Supplier Base Development
  • Strengthen and expand Malaysia’s supplier network.
  • Guide and support suppliers to meet our principal’s Supplier Assessment Criteria, raising quality standards and increasing localization potential.
4. Parts Development
  • Oversee the end-to-end parts development process — from Engineering Trials to Production Trials and Mass Production.
  • Troubleshoot quality issues and drive improvement initiatives with suppliers to meet global standards.
5. Communication Bridge
  • Act as a vital link between our organization, suppliers, and the brand principal.
  • Ensure clear communication and alignment throughout the development and approval stages.
6. Engineering Change Management
  • Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers, and principal stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely implementation of Engineering Change Notices (ECN).
What We’re Looking For
  • Education: Recognized Degree in Engineering or related fields.
  • Experience: 4–6 years in the automotive industry, ideally with hands‑on knowledge of component manufacturing processes (stamping, plastic injection moulding, rubber extrusion, tooling, machines & equipment).
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of automotive design & development, production, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • People Skills: Results‑oriented, analytical, and driven with excellent problem‑solving, planning, and organizing abilities.
  • Language: Proficiency in Mandarin will be an added advantage, as the role involves frequent documentation and communication with China‑based principals and suppliers.
