Job summary
A global medical technology leader is seeking a Logistics Supervisor in Penang, Malaysia. The role requires supervising outbound activities, creating shipping documents, and monitoring imports/exports. Ideal candidates will have a degree and at least 3 years of logistics experience. Qualifications

- Supervise shipping process for exporting finished goods.

Responsible for all outbound activity within the distribution center. Perform all procedures related to exports and ensure product is picked, packaged and shipped with proper documentation. Responsibility will also include support for inbound activity within the distribution center.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise the shipping process for exporting finished goods including personnel preparing shipments to ensure process is conducted according to local and corporate procedures.
- Create and process documents required for export or import goods. Create cargo manifestos. May have to determine corresponding transportation costs. Answers internal and external customer inquiries on exports or imports procedures.
- Additional Responsibilities: Maintain operations books and metrics reports.
- Share responsibility with planning and purchasing for the monitoring of the transit of goods with 3rd Party logistics services and sterilization services to ensure supply chain performance.
- Create invoices, as well as creating and issuing different Insurance Policies
- Responsible for monitoring imports and exports.
- Coordinate and assess transportation alternatives. Monitoring freight expenses for company, looking for alternative ways to control and lower costs
- Support new projects expanding the services offered by the distribution center.
Job Requirement:
- Candidate requires to process at least degree in any related field.
- Preferably in Logistics/Warehousing with at least 3 years of experience required.
- Skill Required:
- Knowledge of warehouse and distribution processes and systems.
- Stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Leadership skill.
- Problem solving.
- Able to work in shift if required.
