Job summary
A leading legal services provider in Malaysia is seeking a Paralegal/Legal Clerk to manage legal documents and assist with legal research. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in a related field, 1-2 years of administrative experience, and strong organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential. This role is crucial for supporting the legal team and ensuring compliance with legal processes.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in an administrative support role, preferably within a law firm or in-house legal department.
- Proactive and willing to learn about property development legal processes.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, manage and organize all legal documents, ensuring accuracy.
- Handle the full cycle of document processing and follow up on pending matters.
- Assist with basic legal research to retrieve legal precedents or regulations.
- Prepare, proofread and format various legal documents.
- Support legal team in managing compliance checklists and reporting requirements.

- Handle the full cycle of document processing and follow up on pending matters.
- Assist with basic legal research, primarily retrieving specific legal precedents or regulations as directed.
- Prepare, proofread and format various legal documents, including letters, notices and correspondences.
- Support legal team in preparing and managing compliance checklists and routine reporting requirements.
- Diploma or Certificate in Office Administration, Law or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in an administrative support role, preferably within a law firm or in-house legal department.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with legal tech platform is a plus.
- Proactive and a willingness to learn about property development legal processes.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
