Primary Duties & Responsibilities (Production)

Performs a wide variety of optical, electronic, or electro-mechanical, mechanical, or measurement product assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies.

Determines and or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component cleaning & installation, hand soldering, and fitting on assembly units.

Perform mechanical and optical alignment for laser turning.

Conduct product performance testing, including functional, leakage, laser performance, and related testing.

Conduct electrical testing/troubleshooting.

Recommend a process improvement plan.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities (Facility & Equipment)

To lead the Facilities department in ensuring all company facilities are in good condition and well-maintained.

Coordinate and carry out overall plant maintenance and housekeeping.

Ensure all equipment and machines are well-maintained in accordance with procedures.

Establish a systematic Preventive Maintenance program and procedures for manufacturing Equipment, and implement them in line with ISO requirements.

Coordinate and supervise contractor work on maintaining, servicing, housekeeping, and construction work on the premises.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities (Environment, Health & Safety)

Ensure all contractors follow safe work practices.

Ensure the company complies with all rules & regulations in the facility, i.e., BOMBA, Machinery Department, MPPP, Tenaga Nasional, and Safety and Health (DOSH) Department.

Ensure that all equipment installations and operations, including scheduled waste disposal, comply with the Environmental Act.

Keeps fire equipment, alarms, switches, and sensors in good working condition.

To carry out the duties as a committee member for OSH and ERT.

Carry out projects as assigned by the company from time to time

Develop, propose, and implement improvement initiatives for equipment maintenance and management.

Education & Experience

Possess a Diploma in Engineering or its equivalent with 2 years or more relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.

Possesses experience in troubleshooting automation machines and can read electrical drawings/schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical orders.

Follow and comply with, and ensure good housekeeping and safety in the factory.

Experience working with a microscope is an added advantage.

Experience working on optical and laser-related products is an added advantage.

Open to working beyond working hours when the production volume is high.

Passes the minimum of the Chargeman AO certificate conducted by Suruhanjaya Tenaga. (Only for EHS position)

Familiar with Schedule Waster Management. (Only for EHS position)

Familiar with DOSH guidelines and MyJKKP. (Only for EHS position)

Able to handle projects independently.
