A leading electronics manufacturing company in Penang is seeking a Quality Management Specialist to oversee quality system documents and ensure compliance with industry standards. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, with at least 2 years of experience in a related role. Proficiency in root cause analysis and strong knowledge of ISO standards are essential. The role includes supporting customer audits, analyzing documentation, and monitoring calibration activities.
To ensure QMS documents are adequately reviewed, approved and stored to be accessible by stake holders in the company.
To support QMS manager during customer audits, Certification Bodies audit, and Internal audits.
To follow up closely with engineering, purchasing, quality and sales to respond to RoHS/REACH items compliance for customers.
Overseeing calibration activities.
Responsible to review, register, update and distribute quality system documents to ensure all documents are complying to QDOS documentation system.
To analyze all levels of documents (Quality Manual, SOP, WI, Form & checklist) with internal functional teams for improvement on yearly basis.
To monitor all quality records are archived at designated area (Document room,etc) as per retention period stated in Quality Record Archiving SOP.
To support QMS manager to perform process, product, system & environment audits at various processes from time to time
Responsible to handle external audits such as Customer audit, Certification body audit and Internal audit.
To submit RoHS/REACH Compliant documents and meet customer requirements timely.
To follow up, monitor and update equipment calibration as per Master list schedule
Support purchasing team for suppliers audit.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Material Science, Physics or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in related roles, in electronics manufacturing industry preferred. Fresh graduates with internship in QA will also be considered.
Proficiency in root cause analysis (RCA) and problem-solving tools (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram).
Strong knowledge of ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO/TS 16949, etc.).
Familiarity with quality methodologies like Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Total Quality Management (TQM).
Knowledge of document control and audit processes. i.e. RBA/TISAX
Understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
Ability to develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
