Job summary

A leading testing and certification firm in Malaysia is seeking a Civil Material Technician to perform various testing tasks including soil, concrete, and aggregate testing. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in Civils and at least 2 years of relevant experience. Good communication skills and the ability to work under pressure are essential. Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Civil Material Technician for testing, sample preparation and delivery/collection of samples and preparation of test reports. Candidates should ideally have gained considerable experience in construction material testing either with a commercial test house or contractor.

Responsibilities
  • Perform soil, concrete and aggregate testing
  • Conduct density test
  • Sampling of concrete for compression and flexural test
  • Conduct slump testing
  • Have an idea / conduct asphalt testing (preferable)
  • Prepare and compile reports
Skills / Qualifications
  • Diploma / degree in Civils with at least 2 year experience in similar role
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in teams and to work under pressure
