Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

• Lead the design, development and implementation of technical solutions in multiple domains. Participate in project planning and scheduling.
• Provide technical leadership and direction to a team of engineers. May be a recognised expert (go to person) in one or more technical areas
• Review, interpret and may negotiate customer requirements/specifications and provide customer feedback
• Lead the deployment of strategic programs and coordinate site-wide deployment efforts.
• Proactively promote industry best practices
• May manage relationships with key vendors/partners.
• Research systems ideas and will draw up plans for these systems
• Design, modify and implement systems that meet customer and Celestica needs.
• Create designs in line with Celesticas procedures, regulations and customer standards
• Keep up to date with relevant industry knowledge and regulations
• Solve complex problems
• Liaison with suppliers, customers, contractors, and other internal teams.
• Recommend system modifications
• Proficient in at least one drawing software, such as Cadence Allegro, Mentor BS, Mentor Expedition, or PADS;
• Familiarity with PCB manufacturing processes and DFx. Experience with Valor Trilogy 5000 software is preferred;
• Experience in designing communication boards, PC/Server motherboards, or other complex (10-20 layers);
• Experience in RF (radio frequency) PCB design, analog circuit design, and high-speed digital PCB design is preferred;
• Excellent English listening, speaking, and reading skills, along with strong communication skills;
• Conscientious, responsible, and proactive, with the ability to work overtime as needed
• Strong customer service ethic, a keen learner, and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing market demands and effectively collaborate with international teams to complete designs.

• Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
• Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
• Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
• Occasional travel may be required.

• Minimum 8 years in a similar role or industry.

Bachelor degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
