About the job Senior Manager (Accountant)

As part of their growth plans, they are seeking to hire dedicated, and experienced Senior Manager (Accountant)to be part of their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Maintain transparency and accountability by ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and reporting standards.
  • Develop and monitor budgets for various departments and programs, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and objectives. Forecast revenues and expenses and provide financial insights to support decision‑making.
  • Provide leadership in and work closely with the Management in performing long‑term financial planning and analysis aimed at identifying risks, opportunities, and option that will inform strategies to provide resources for attainment of the University mission.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, grant requirements, and institutional policies. Stay abreast of changes in regulations and implement necessary adjustments to ensure adherence.
  • Serve as a financial advisor to faculty administrators and board members, providing guidance on financial matters, interpreting financial reports, and recommending strategies for fiscal sustainability and growth.
  • Assist the management team for developing and implementing policy and practice, on both academic and business matters, for the effective management of the University as an academic institution as well as a viable business entity.

Requirements:

  • Must possess a Bachelors Degree Financeor related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior management role.
  • Strong execution skills with solid company‑wide operational experiences.
  • High level of integrity drives and result oriented. Ability to work under extreme pressure and deadlines.
  • Previous experience in financial management, preferably in the education sector.
  • Managers who obtained Chartered Institute of Management Accountant (CIMA) and/or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) will have a stronger advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with strong command in written and spoken English.
  • Experience of leading a substantial organization, team or group.
  • Possesses initiative, the ability to think independently and a passion for academic excellence

Remunerations & Benefits:,

  • Basic Salary: RM8,000 to RM15,000 (negotiable depending on experience)
