Job summary
A recruitment firm is looking for a Finance Executive specializing in costing. The role involves analyzing cost variances, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with internal controls. Ideal candidates will have over 5 years of experience in costing within industries like seafood or FMCG, and a degree in Accounting or Finance. Excellent analytical and Excel skills are essential, as well as familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle. Opportunities for process improvement in costing systems are also a focus.
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in costing, preferably in seafood, food processing, or FMCG.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and cost structures.
- Experience with frozen inventory or cold chain stock management is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Analyze manufacturing and inventory cost variances (material, labor, overhead).
- Prepare monthly cost reports and conduct variance analysis vs budget/forecast.
- Monitor and reconcile inventory movement (raw, WIP, finished goods).
- Liaise with procurement and production for accurate and standard costs.
