Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the payroll process for employees in multiple regions.
- Processing Payroll: Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions for employees accurately and in a timely manner.
- Payroll Administration: Manage payroll‑related documentation, including timesheets, pay adjustments, and employee records.
- Documentation Submission: Handle submission of payroll‑related documents to government agencies.
- Resignation Process: Guide resigning employees through paperwork such as resignation letters and clearance forms, ensuring timely processing of final payments and benefits.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll‑related issues and improve payroll processes.
- Compliance management: Stay up‑to‑date with payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefits, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other deductions.
- Communication: Address employee inquiries regarding payroll, taxes, and benefits.
Reporting and Record‑Keeping
- Audits: Maintain accurate records of payroll transactions and generate reports for management review or external audit, which may include payroll expenses, tax returns, year‑end reports, etc.
- Record‑keeping: Maintain accurate records of employee earnings, deductions, and hours worked.
Tax Declaration
- Familiar with the personal tax declaration process.
- Ensure accurate withholding and reporting of payroll taxes, including federal, state, and local taxes.
Interfacing with Payroll Intermediaries
Responsible for interfacing with different countries’ payroll intermediaries, including Poland, Turkey, and Indonesia.
Ad‑hoc Tasks
Support ad‑hoc tasks such as recruitment, administration, and other related duties as needed.
Job Requirements
Educational Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Certification in payroll administration or HR management is a plus.
Language Requirement:
- Proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin‑speaking clients.
Experience Requirement:
- 0–3 years of experience in payroll processing or related role.
- Familiar with the tax declaration process.
- Knowledge of payroll software and systems.
- Understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
Skill Requirement:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Qualities Requirement:
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Customer service‑oriented attitude with the ability to provide support to employees and resolve issues professionally.
