Candidates should have a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design and at least 4-5 years of relevant experience.

Overview

Job Overview: We are seeking a talented Sports Equipment Draughtsman responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and 3D models for sports equipment, such as goalposts, and other sports infrastructure. This role involves working closely with production to ensure designs meet industry standards and manufacturing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Technical Drawings & CAD Design
  Develop precise 2D and 3D AUTOCAD drawings for sports equipment (e.g., goalposts, badminton post, etc.).
• Prepare detailed assembly and component drawings, including material specifications.
• Update and revise drawings based on feedback from sales and production teams.
• Collaboration with Sales & Production Teams
  Work with product team to develop functional and safe designs.
• Ensure compliance with sports industry standards and safety regulations.
• Provide technical input on material selection and design feasibility.
• Prototyping & Manufacturing Support
  Assist in developing prototypes and verifying designs before production.
• Work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure seamless production.
• Identify and resolve any design-related production challenges.
• Research & Development (R&D)
  Contribute to new product development by exploring innovative design solutions.
• Conduct research on materials, structural integrity, and manufacturing techniques.
• Support product testing and evaluate performance against quality benchmarks.
• Technical Documentation & Compliance
  Maintain and update technical documentation, drawings, and specifications.
• Ensure all designs adhere to relevant sports federation guidelines and safety standards.
• Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product durability and efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• Software Proficiency: Experience with AutoCAD (2D & 3D) - Mandatory
• Able to communicate fluently in English.
• Experience: Minimum 4-5 years of experience in mechanical drafting, preferably in sports equipment or metal fabrication.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of material properties (steel, aluminum, composites) and manufacturing processes.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to troubleshoot design issues and recommend improvements.
• Communication: Strong teamwork and coordination skills to work with cross-functional teams.
