Job description

What will you do?

In this senior leadership role, you will play an integral part in driving the success of our Civil division while establishing best practices in civil engineering. You will lead multidisciplinary teams and ensure excellence in design, delivery, and project outcomes.

• Leadership & Team Management: Lead and manage a multidisciplinary civil engineering team, ensuring resource allocation, performance, and development. Foster a culture of collaboration and technical excellence.
• Civil Engineering Expertise: Oversee and guide all aspects of civil engineering design and contract management for complex infrastructure projects. Ensure compliance with project requirements, budgets, and timelines.
• Design Review & Quality Assurance: Set design criteria, standard detailing, and report templates. Review and approve conceptual and detailed designs to maintain high-quality deliverables within project deadlines.
• Technical Analysis & Tools: Utilize and provide guidance on engineering software such as MITS, 12D, EPA-SWMM, REC-RAC, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and others. Ensure proper application and understanding of limitations for accurate analysis and design.
• Codes & Standards Compliance: Develop design basis from project and client requirements. Maintain in-depth knowledge of local and international codes, standards, and current industry practices for civil engineering works.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary interface with clients, authorities, and contractors. Clarify scope of works, design requirements, and submission processes. Lead or assist in proposals and bids as needed.
• Conceptual & Detailed Design Delivery: Perform and oversee conceptual and detailed design for civil works, ensuring alignment with budget, schedule, and construction timelines. Provide technical guidance to team members for producing accurate reports and drawings.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Professional Engineer registration (PEPC preferred).
• 15+ years of experience in civil engineering for building and land development infrastructure projects (residential, industrial, commercial, institutional).
• Strong consultancy background.
• Proven ability to manage large-scale projects independently.
• Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English.

Good to Have:

• Knowledge and understanding of BIM processes, Civil 3D, and Revit.
• Experience in major infrastructure projects (railway, MRT, high-rise buildings).
• Exposure to transport and water projects.
