Support Worker jobs in Singapore

7 hours per week (these will be worked flexibly with some day, early evening and occasional weekends)

We are assisting our client to recruit for a Personal Assistant (PA), to help the family to support their 8-year-old autistic son both on family outings and at home.

You will provide 1-1 support when out and about to provide the family with 'an extra pair of hands' and also allow for the parents to share time with their other two sons.

You will also ensure safety and wellbeing when on family outings and in and out of the home.

Provision of personal care (son is double incontinent and uses pull ups so will occasionally need to be cleaned and changed) will be part of this role as well as playing along with their son with his favourite toys and pastimes.

You may also be asked to help with drinks, food and snacks.

You must have a caring attitude, be patient and be physically able to manage an active eight year old.

Punctuality is very important as family outings can take a lot to organise and once the children know they are going out they need to be ready to go.

You will have a positive and flexible in your approach to work and although not essential previous experience of supporting nonverbal, autistic children would be helpful although full training on specific communication and understanding will be ongoing.

This role requires an enhanced check through PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups).
