The Health Informatics Portfolio Management Office (PMO) are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic, and well organised person to provide support to the Project Manager on the replacement of the Trusts new PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System).
Main duties of the jobAs Project Support Officer you will work as part of the project team assisting with project governance and coordinating reporting of the project to the Project Board. You will assist in the smooth running of the project from initiation throughout the lifecycle of the project ensuring key deliverables and milestones are achieved using best practice project methodology.
The post holder will provide facilitation and maintenance of key project documentation such as the project delivery plan and other key project controls (e.g. Risk and Issue logs, Benefits Realisation and Lessons Learned).
The post holder will also contribute to building relationships with key stakeholders and provide administrative support at key governance groups. This will include coordination of agendas and papers, taking and distributing minutes, coordinating actions arising from meetings and ensuring that the appropriate follow up occurs.
The successful candidate will be an excellent written and verbal communicator, and have advance skills in the use of key Microsoft Office Packages, such as excel and MS Project.

Job descriptionJob responsibilitiesThe Project Support Officer will support the Project Manager to deliver a high quality, proactive PACS (Picture Archiving Communication System) project delivery on behalf of the Trust.
Act as the first point of contact for managers and staff on all matters relating to the delivery status of the project and any identified sub-schemes, providing advice and support on the programme and project management methodology and processes whilst ensuring maintenance of a robust governance framework.
Act as a source of expertise for the programme and project lead who will need to capture and track progress on delivery of the project and report to the Project Board and portfolio team. The post holder will assist with the development of project trackers, dashboards, process diagrams and other reports to meet the needs of the project.
The role will entail liaising with key stakeholders to support delivery of the expected benefits of the project within the Health Informatics portfolio and, support the expected deliverables and support the ongoing development of improved service to patients, managers and clinicians.
The Project Support Officer will also provide high level administrative support and coordination to the PMO and Health Informatics Governance.
Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential - Educated to degree level or equivalent in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in specialist area.
Desirable - One or more of the following:
- PRINCE2 (Foundation)
- Managing Successful Programmes (Foundation)
- P30 Foundation and/or recognised industry equivalent qualification (experience within areas outlined will also be considered)
Special Skills and KnowledgeEssential - Standard keyboard skills use of MS Office Suite Work Excel PowerPoint and Outlook.
