Health Care Assistant – Displaced Worker Scheme (Visa Transfer Available)

Eligibility: Workers must have gotten a letter from the Home Office saying that their original sponsor’s licence has been taken away, which gives them 60 days to find a new work.

Hours: 33 hours a week are offered
Shifts: You can work day or night shifts.
Our House
Eildon House is well-connected to the community, and many of the staff and residents live nearby.
Eildon House is a lovely, old-fashioned stone terrace residence that looks out over private playing fields where a lot of cyclists and walkers pass by. The lounge on the first level boasts great views of the castle and the skyline of Edinburgh. The house can hold up to 22 people.
The Part
We want to hire a permanent Care Assistant for our Care Home who is kind and committed to their work and who will work as part of our care home team in keeping with our principles. You will be very important in helping residents with their daily tasks, giving them personal care, and making sure they are secure and healthy. This is because you will have an excellent grasp of each resident’s requirements and wants.
Main Duties
Personal Care: helping residents with their daily hygiene, like washing, dressing and using the bathroom; helping them move around and transfer, including using mobility devices and hoists; and helping with continence care while always making sure residents keep their dignity.
Health and well-being: Keep an eye on residents’ physical and mental health and report any changes. If you have concerns, raise them with the right people.
Nutrition and hydration: Help residents eat and drink, make sure their nutritional needs are met, encourage them to drink enough water, and keep an eye on how much food they eat. When needed, help them make light meals or snacks.
Emotional and social support: Spending time getting to know each person, keeping them company, and talking to them to improve their health. Encouraging residents to join in on social activities, hobbies, and setting goals for themselves.
Environmental and housekeeping support includes making sure that residents’ rooms and common areas are clean, neat, and pleasant, helping with laundry and light cleaning if needed, and following health and safety rules and infection control measures.
Skills and Experience
Worked in a care home or healthcare facility before.
Ability to stick to care plans and keep accurate records of the care given.
Ready to learn how to use Person-Centred Software and other platforms.
Knowledge of and compliance with regulatory requirements for quality and safety, fulfil CI standards and a commitment to maintaining high standards of care and professionalism.
