Job Description:
We are looking for a keen and ambitious Registered Care Manager with a significant background in care to join our team in Weston-super-Mare. As our Registered Care Manager, you will be responsible for the growth and development of our care service, ensuring the delivery of outstanding quality care.
The role is based at our office on Worle High Street and is a full-time position of 40 hours per week. The working hours are 08:30 - 17:00 Monday to Friday.
Salary £30,000 - £37,000 per year depending on experience.
In this varied and challenging role, you will be involved in converting new client enquiries, care planning, and conducting risk assessments to ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements. You will manage a team to ensure exceptional service delivery and balanced workloads.
Job Purpose
The Registered Care Manager is accountable for the management of the day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with all governing body requirements and relevant legislation.
The Role
- Coordinate with the Franchise Owner to develop a high-quality private domiciliary care service.
- Promote high standards of person-centered care and service.
- Manage client acquisition from initial contact to conversion, adhering to company policies.
- Conduct care planning and risk assessments, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
- Implement quality control systems and perform quality assurance visits.
- Review and improve processes for effective service delivery.
- Manage complaints and incidents, conducting investigations and implementing improvements.
- Ensure timely reporting to relevant bodies such as CQC, Care Inspectorate, and Safeguarding authorities.
- Foster a positive culture aligned with Home Instead’s ethos and values.
- Oversee governance of delegated healthcare activities, ensuring staff are trained and competent.
- Manage safeguarding procedures and liaise with local authorities on safeguarding issues.
- Maintain knowledge of the Care Act and Making Safeguarding Personal.
- Engage in community networking and digital media to promote awareness.
- Develop relationships with case managers, ICB leads, discharge teams, etc.
- Support growth in delegated healthcare and complex care services.
- Represent the service in system-level forums.
- Lead and inspire the team to deliver exceptional client service, ensuring safe staffing levels.
- Support recruitment, training, disciplinary processes, and HR policies.
- Assist with payroll, budgets, and data integrity across platforms.
- Stay updated on legislation and regulations.
- Identify personal development needs and take appropriate actions.
- Ensure adherence to Equality and Diversity policies.
- Perform any other duties necessary for business success.
Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Preferably a registered nurse, or willing to work towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care.
- Extensive care experience with a proven record of excellent customer service.
- Experience in leading, training, and managing a high-quality domiciliary care team.
- Strong knowledge of compliance and legislation of Care Standards regulations.
- Skills in care assessment and planning.
- Understanding of systems and processes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to inspire and build relationships.

Due to the need to support the On-Call function and travel for client assessments, a driving license and access to a vehicle are required.
