Become part of the first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years! Join our Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick team as a Project Manager (Earthing & Surging) on the Hinkley Point Project and develop your career with this exciting initiative.

The first new nuclear power station in over 20 years in the UK; Hinkley Point C in Somerset will supply low-carbon electricity to around 6 million homes, create thousands of jobs, and bring lasting benefits to the UK economy.

Marking a significant milestone in revitalising the nuclear power industry, Hinkley Point C will significantly contribute to the UK's efforts to reduce carbon emissions. Its two EPR reactors are expected to offset 9 million tonnes of CO2 emissions annually.

• Ensure the consistent delivery of the Earthing and Surge Protection scope across all areas and buildings by providing timely and relevant information to all area and building leads.
• Promote and maintain health and safety standards to support a positive Nuclear Safety Culture.
• Implement risk management and mitigation strategies.
• Support planning and training of blue-collar trades required for the scope.
• Coordinate with execution designers, EPM team, and equipment manufacturers to ensure installation requirements are understood and interfaces are identified and resolved.
• Engage with equipment manufacturers regarding product familiarisation and factory training where necessary.

• Experience in construction project management.
• Good working knowledge of electrical earthing installations.
• Up-to-date knowledge of workplace/construction health and safety regulations.
• Degree/HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in IT and MS Office software.
• IOSH Managing Safely certification.
• Ability to obtain security clearance.
