A leading food production company is seeking a Machine Operator for part-time work in Hull, East Yorkshire. Location: Hull, East Yorkshire
Job Type: Part time, Temporary to Permanent
Pay: £14.67 per hour
Shifts: Monday to Friday
Shift Pattern (Monday to Friday): Afternoon: 6PM - 11PM
- Machines setup and start-up
- Loading and unloading materials
- Operating machinery safely and efficiently
- Observe machine operations to detect malfunctions or irregularities
- Report issues to supervisors or maintenance teams and assist in basic troubleshooting if required
- Maintain production logs, machine performance records, and incident reports as required
- Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Keep the work area clean and hazard-free
- Communicate clearly about machine status, output, and any issues
- Previous machine operator experience (ideally in food industry)
- Ability to operate and adjust industrial machinery safely and efficiently.
- Ability to read and understand and comply with specifications
- Comfortable working in chilled conditions
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical work ethic
- Forward thinking and planning skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Possess excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
- Familiarity with workplace safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to perform routine checks, cleaning, and minor mechanical repairs
- Weekly pay - £14.67 per hour
- Ongoing work with potential for permanent positions
