Skills
Gap Personnel is recruiting motivated and reliable Production Operators on behalf of our client based in Barnsley. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing team in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
You will play a key role in operating machinery, maintaining product quality, and supporting continuous improvement efforts—all while ensuring safety and efficiency on the production line.
Continental Shifts (4 on / 4 off):
- Days: 06:00 - 18:00
- Nights: 18:00 - 06:00
Pay:
- £13.07 per hour basic
- £1.31 per hour shift allowance
- Annual Salary: £31,498.20
- Operate production machinery in line with customer requirements and quality standards
- Meet daily production and quality targets
- Ensure safe operation of equipment at all times
- Carry out minor machine adjustments and basic maintenance
- Monitor and report on product quality
- Maintain accurate records of production data
- Communicate effectively with team members, especially during shift handovers
- Support 5S, TPM, and other lean manufacturing initiatives
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Experience operating machinery in a high-volume manufacturing setting (preferred)
- Good numeracy, literacy, and communication skills
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently
- Flexible and adaptable to meet shift and production demands
- Familiarity with lean tools such as 5S, TPM, and visual management is desirable
