A leading international electronics systems manufacturer is currently looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their multi-disciplinary team at their Isle of Wight facility.

This position has become available due to continued growth across the business.

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of mechanical and electro-mechanical components, products, and systems—supporting them from early-stage concepts through to manufacturing and integration.

1. HNC or higher in Mechanical Engineering (or a related discipline)
2. Strong 3D CAD modelling and drawing skills (Siemens NX highly desirable, though others considered)
3. Experience with sheet metal, machined components, and mechanical assemblies
4. Ideally, experience designing enclosures for electronic components and an understanding of EMC
5. Hardware product design, including Design for Manufacture and Design for Assembly
6. Eligibility for Security Clearance (SC) is required
