Purpose
We are looking for a motivated Purchasing and R&D Legal Counsel to support IDEMIA's Smart Identity (ISI) Division. You will develop a strong role as a business partner within the Division’s key players (notably Purchasing Manager, Sales Manager, Bid Manager, Finance, Program Manager, etc.).
The position will be based at IDEMIA's headquarters in Paris-La Défense, France.
Your mission will be to provide qualified legal and contractual support to the ISI business, contributing to ISI targets, business growth, profitability, risk management, protecting investments in technology, know-how, marketing, ensuring proper handling of information, and supporting compliance with relevant local and international regulations, including data privacy, ethics, and antitrust laws.

Profile & Other Information
You should have a strong background in commercial law and contracts, with experience or interest in R&D agreements, grant agreements, IP, trademarks, data privacy, and protection. Excellent oral and written English skills are required; knowledge of another language such as Arabic is a plus. You should be curious, rigorous, and capable of resolving legal issues on technical subjects.
Education: Master’s degree in business law or contracts law, preferably with specialization in new technology law or international experience.
Experience: At least 5 years of legal and contractual experience within an international group or law firm, ideally related to new technologies, data protection, or major international projects, including public procurement experience.
Additional information includes occasional travel for contract negotiations.
