Context around the position:
Pernod Ricard is the global co-leader in wines and spirits and the leader in the premium segment. The Global Spirit Management Platform is the Group platform for ageing products that manages 70% of the maturing stock of Pernod Ricard, the value of which is in excess of €8bn. Today’s footprint of Brand Companies covers, MARTELL including UVPC (Union des Viticulteurs Producteurs de Cognac), SPA (Société de production Armagnac), CBL (Chivas Brothers limited), IDL (Irish distillers limited) and YBC (Yerevan Brandy company).
The system has been in existence since 1992, known as Spirit1, and covers a vast area of the Operational management and reporting of spirit in Casks and Vats both full and empty. 4.5M€ of Capex has been spent during the last 3 years in order to build a best-in-class Spirit Management Platform, leveraging the most recent technologies making the various applications of the platform modern, minimizing the risks for the next decade in terms of technological obsolescence and human expertise.
The ambition is to continue to support and build on the achievements to date, to extend the scope of functionality and geographical reach of the platform across the Pernod Ricard Brand Companies and through development of new features, AI initiatives, seamless integration to other Operational systems and more intelligent use of data, in order to make Spirit Management a Platform of differentiation for Pernod Ricard.
