Role

Currently we are looking for a Senior Manager Business Development and Advisory, a subject matter expert, to join our team for Consulting & Engineering Services (CES) and enhance DXC Public Sector and Aerospace & Defense Industry footprint through providing top-notch advisory services in the field, thus strengthening relationships with both existing and new clients.

Responsibilities

  • Be seen as a thought-leader in Public Sector / Aerospace and Defense both by clients and by DXC colleagues so that you are actively sought out for advice, insight and expertise. Your thought-leadership will be applied across our business to drive growth.
  • Analyze the needs of current and future customers to understand where and how DXC can help them achieve their business goals, especially through proactive proposals.
  • Originate and develop opportunities for new business with clients by working directly with clients and with account teams and sellers.
  • Analyze and define customers' needs and expectations.
  • Advise and support our customers in business processes transformation.
  • Develop solutions to meet customers’ business challenges by drawing on DXC’s Consulting and Engineering Services and knowledge of where DXC has successfully solved the same issue for comparable clients.
  • Build and use repeatable industry propositions: working with our global Offerings to develop industry specific content, proposals and collateral, incorporating technology innovation such as AI.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market plans and account plans in conjunction with Account teams, Marketing and Offerings, so that we are able to bring the most relevant industry capabilities, case studies and propositions to clients.
  • Steering the choice of technologies, managing relations with technology and business partners.
  • Advise on how and where emerging technologies, such as AI and Quantum, can be applied to achieve customer goals.
  • Act as part of a global community of industry advisors bringing the best of DXC to clients and sharing best practices.
  • Provide thought-leadership in Aerospace and Defense at an industry level and with individual clients. Develop and keep current DXC’s viewpoint on an industry (industry trends, customer challenges and DXC solutions).
  • Contribute to the creation of DXC content / white papers that are ‘published’ externally and participate in conferences, roundtables and webinars, acting as an ambassador for DXC in the industry.
  • Brief analysts on DXC industry capabilities and engage with partners to position DXC proactively in new business opportunities and to develop joint-go-to-market propositions.
  • Act as part of a global community of industry advisors bringing the best of DXC to clients and sharing best practices.

Requirements

  • 10 + years of experience in business development and advisory within Public Sector / Aerospace and Defense domains.
  • Strong industry knowledge and technical expertise, solid consultative approach.
  • Trusted Adviser with immaculate interpersonal skills, passionate about building meaningful, long-term relations and capable of understanding customers’ needs & shaping their thinking.
  • Proven track record in the technical domains covered by working with DXC’s CES Offerings: Consulting, Custom Applications, Data and AI, SAP and other Enterprise Applications.
  • Core management consulting skills, including Executive & Digital Leadership Workshop facilitation, Client interviews / focus groups.
  • Ability to design Client business cases.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal & written, excellent presentation skills.
  • Established and trusted client relationships.
  • Experience analyzing market data for potential opportunities and adapt strategies as needed.
