A non-profit organization in Nova Scotia is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to the CEO. The candidate will provide high-level administrative support to the CEO, Senior Team, and the Board of Directors. This includes managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and ensuring effective communication. The ideal candidate has 7-10 years of experience in an administrative role, strong interpersonal skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Halifax with some flexibility in arrangements.
Executive Assistant to CEO (Nova Scotia Independent Energy System Operator, NSIESO) – Halifax, Nova Scotia. Base pay range: CA$60,000.00 / yr - CA$75,000.00 / yr. This role reports to the CEO and supports the Senior Team and the Board of Directors.
The Nova Scotia Independent Energy System Operator (NSIESO) is a new, independent non-profit organization established in 2024 to plan and operate Nova Scotia's bulk electricity system. NSIESO will manage the connection of clean energy projects to the grid, system planning, and procurement of new energy sources, and will eventually determine which power generation facilities are used to meet electricity demands across the province.
The Executive Assistant will report to the CEO and play a key role during startup, transition, and full operations. The Executive Assistant will provide high-level administrative and operational support to the CEO, Senior Team, and the Board of Directors, acting as a liaison between the CEO, board members, partners, leaders, staff, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and smooth administration.
