To support this growth, we are seeking a results-driven Franchise Development Manager to lead our expansion strategy and build a strong franchisee pipeline that will bring the Pizzaiolo experience to new markets.

Role Overview

The Franchise Development Manager is responsible for fueling our expansion by creating, nurturing, and converting a pipeline of qualified franchisee candidates. This strategic role will focus on identifying opportunities, guiding prospects through the franchise sales journey, and ensuring smooth transitions into our system. Success in this position directly drives Pizzaiolo’s ability to secure new locations, build strong partnerships, and grow sustainably.

Responsibilities
  • Build & Manage the Franchisee Pipeline: Generate, track, and convert leads into successful franchisees through CRM tools, discovery calls, and targeted outreach.
  • Franchisee Recruitment: Evaluate prospects through interviews, financial reviews, and cultural fit assessments.
  • Market Expansion Strategy: Partner with real estate to identify prime sites, support lease negotiations, and align franchisees with the best opportunities.
  • Marketing Collaboration: Develop campaigns and materials to attract top-quality franchise candidates.
  • Legal & Compliance: Manage franchise disclosure documents, agreements, and ensure adherence to regulations.
  • Growth Initiatives: Represent Pizzaiolo at franchise expos, networking events, and webinars to enhance visibility and pipeline growth.
  • Onboarding Support: Act as a key liaison between new franchisees and operations/training to ensure a seamless transition.
  • Performance Reporting: Track KPIs, competitor activity, and market trends to refine strategy and maximize results.
  • Best Practices Development: Continuously improve sales processes, playbooks, and tools to strengthen recruitment efforts.
Qualifications
  • 5–8 years of experience in franchise development, sales, or business development (QSR, foodservice, or multi-unit retail preferred).
  • Proven track record of driving franchise sales and building pipelines across multiple territories.
  • Strong understanding of the franchise lifecycle, FDD, and compliance requirements.
  • CRM expertise (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) with data-driven pipeline management skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities; able to influence at all levels.
  • Knowledge of site selection, lease negotiation, and market development.
  • Organized, entrepreneurial, and results-oriented with a history of exceeding targets.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA or CFE designation is a plus).
  • Willingness to travel regionally for meetings, site visits, and industry events.
