Join our NRB Modular Solutions team, where our people are driven by a desire to innovate, do social good, and move construction forward.
As a Maintenance Worker, you will plan and carry out all planned and non-planned maintenance to the facilities, equipment, tooling, and systems. You will also request materials and subcontractor PO’s, and will oversee any third-party technician that works directly for the Maintenance department.
Your work will include:
- Planned and Non-Planned maintenance tasks are done on schedule and in a timely fashion
- Small Tool, Automation, Vehicles and Equipment repairs
- Work closely with Leads and Foreman on the floor to ensure plant project deadlines are achieved
- Assist Lead Hand by creating scopes of work, take offs, and ordering of materials and subcontractors
- Track Inventory and Update, Completed Work orders in CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System)
- Do audits and periodic inspections of building structures to determine repair needs; establish and coordinate preventive rules and work practices to reduce and eliminate repair and maintenance.
- Assist leadership with the completion of Job Hazards Assessments and Accident and Incident reports.
- As directed, attend Tool Box meetings to ensure understanding of work expectations and goals and communicate information to crewmembers on daily, weekly and monthly tasks.
- Accountable to the Maintenance Lead Hand and responsible for the quality of work performed in all tasks
- Facilitate safe work practices, and procedures geared towards an atmosphere that complies and exceeds a minimum Health and Safety Standard. Have a sound working knowledge of all liabilities and enforcement of all policies and procedures regarding the Health and Safety regulations for the province of Alberta.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Mechanically inclined - Millwright skills would be an asset
- Work requires practical knowledge of the application of mechanics, small engine repair and methods normally acquired through 4-6 years of trade experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
- Leadership qualities include the ability to instruct and maintain effective and efficient productivity from departmental personnel.
This position is safety sensitive and requires drug and alcohol testing as a condition of employment.
