JOB PURPOSE:

The Accounts Receivable and Payable Administrator is a key member of the Finance team and is responsible for supporting the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS / ROLES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accounts receivable support:

• Post daily cash application to Accounts Receivable sub-ledger.
• Prepare and submit the daily bank deposit via the RBC portal.
• Preparing weekly graphs.
• Submitting monthly aging reports to credit agencies.

Accounts payable support:

• Prepare and process the daily producer payment and weekly transporter payments. This includes any adjustments and reversals as required.
• Upload producer statements accordingly.
• Send data uploads, weekly, to Ontario Pork as required by legislation.
• Upload vendor invoices to electronic filing software for manager approvals.
• Perform vendor statement reconciliations.

Other duties/support:

• Prepare and submit various Statistics Canada reports as required on a period and annual basis.
• Support co-workers and provide backup during vacations, high workloads, etc.
• Keep Controller informed on all aspects of areas of responsibility.
• Other duties/reporting as assigned.

Personal Development:

• Attend company required training.
• Remain current with technical knowledge in areas of responsibility.
• Attend regular 1:1 coaching/update sessions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior accounting experience would be an asset
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage time constrained tasks

• Intermediate computer skills (ERP, MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
