Role Summary
Reporting to the Director of Pricing & Growth, the Sr. Manager – Subscriptions is responsible for driving subscriber activation and retention, creating personalized customer experiences that foster loyalty and long-term engagement through marketing channels. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, data-driven, and skilled in stakeholder management, leveraging deep product, customer, and commercial knowledge to grow activation and retention, ensuring subscribers maximize their subscription value.
What’s On Your Plate?
- Develop a deep understanding of customer behavior and needs; design and execute growth initiatives for the subscription program through continuous experimentation and testing.
- Own and lead comprehensive marketing strategies across all markets, including messaging, channel mix, and creative execution.
- Support the development and optimization of the subscription value proposition to enhance retention, engagement, user growth, and profitability.
- Craft marketing strategies to promote new subscription benefits, increasing perceived value and customer loyalty.
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Analytics teams to design and implement evergreen campaigns and product improvements.
- Analyze performance metrics to improve subscriber acquisition, engagement, and retention, focusing on converting trial users to paid subscribers.
- Identify market opportunities and customer insights to inform product development and pricing strategies; conduct A/B tests to evaluate initiatives and refine product-market fit.
- Lead lifecycle management strategies to maximize subscriber lifetime value (LTV).
- Monitor and report on subscriber trends, KPIs, partnerships, local content performance, and operational challenges to ensure ongoing effectiveness.
What you need to be successful
What Did We Order?
- At least 7 years of professional experience in marketing, media, technology, strategy, business planning, or management consulting.
- People management experience preferred, with a minimum of 2 years leading teams.
- Proven success in subscription management, loyalty programs, and user lifecycle management.
- Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting large data sets and conducting campaign analytics for rapid, data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex topics to executive audiences.
- Adept at cross-functional collaboration with strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build trusted relationships.
