Job description

The Role & Job Summary

This senior role collaborates closely across Sales and Marketing to drive strategy, planning and execution based on marketing plans that are aligned to the objectives for the Middle East sales area. The Area Marketing Manager (AMM) is the single point of contact to the Sales leadership team, and owns strategic marketing, planning, project management & execution leveraging the full breadth of Marketing to deliver against the specific market requirements and opportunities. This role will be an integral part of the senior leadership of the NetApp’s business in the Middle East region and will contribute to the pipeline for the Middle East region business via marketing demand generation effort.

Being Successful in The Role & Job Responsibilities
  • Analyze data & assess MiddleEast region market opportunities and challenges; build and align Middle East area marketing strategy to help meet the needs of the sales organization via holistic marketing strategy, tactics and executionmovingcustomers from top to the bottom of the funnel.
  • Drive business growth by expanding footprint in existing customers led by NetApp product innovation. Complement this with drivinggrowth via new customer acquisition.
  • Act as the single point of contact to the sales leadership team in country or area and conveythe needs of Sales to our marketing teams, and vice versa.
  • Collaborate cross-functionallyacross the marketing organization to create one joint marketing plan for the area that delivers the highest impact on pipeline and opportunity generation.
  • Budget management, allocation guidance & ownership for the territory.
  • Identify marketing strategies to help drive penetration in accounts as well as new logo acquisition.Support the planning and execution of relevant Sales plays together with the local Salesleaders.Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing efforts learning from the successes and failures, driving best practices, and enhancing marketing performance
Skills and Competencies
  • Speed in execution & strategic decision making in order to quickly adapt & adjust as the business requires.Strong leadership and decision-making skills in order to maximizing opportunities for growth and profitability.
  • Problem-solving capabilities and ability to see the big picture and alignment to sales and marketing opportunities.Teamwork & collaboration with other Marketing & PR functions to create fully integrated plans
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills between multiple teams and business units.
  • Creativity & adaptability to implement programs based on the needs of the business.Ability to lead and influence in a matrix organization – while building trust and credibility
  • Ability to prioritize, stay laser focused and drive progress amongst change.
  • High level of fluency in Arabic and English.
Experience and Education
  • Strong and tenured experience in B2B marketing leadership roles, mainly from technology organizations.
  • Extensive experience in Middle East region marketing, with a deep understanding and proven track record.
  • A Bachelor/Masters degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field is required, with a strong foundation in B2B marketing principles and practices.
  • The candidate must be located in close proximity to a NetApp office and required to work in the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
