As a Lobby Host at InterContinental Abu Dhabi, you are the face and personality of the hotel lobby. Your role is to provide a gracious, warm, and engaging welcome to all guests, offering assistance, information, and personalized service to enhance their experience. You ensure the lobby area reflects the brand’s luxury standards while proactively identifying guest needs, offering support, and creating memorable interactions throughout their stay. You will serve as a key connection between the guest and hotel departments, embodying the values of True Hospitality at all times.

A little taste of your day‑to‑day:

Guest Engagement & Experience
  • Greet all guests warmly upon arrival and departure, maintaining eye contact and a professional, friendly demeanor.
  • Anticipate guest needs and proactively offer assistance (e.g. directions, amenities, transportation, services).
  • Recognize VIPs, repeat guests, and IHG One Rewards members, offering personalized welcomes and ensuring their preferences are acknowledged.
  • Assist with lobby‑based guest needs, including directions to outlets, local area recommendations, and responding to inquiries.
  • Support Front Desk and Concierge teams by guiding guests to the appropriate services or staff members.
Lobby Presence & Ambience
  • Maintain a visible presence in the lobby at all times, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and ambiance align with InterContinental brand standards.
  • Monitor guest flow, peak periods, and anticipate needs for additional support from other departments.
  • Report maintenance or housekeeping issues within the lobby area immediately for timely resolution.
Communication & Coordination
  • Liaise with Front Office, Concierge, Bell Desk, Housekeeping, and F&B teams to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Handle guest complaints or concerns calmly and professionally, escalating to management when necessary.
  • Support in handling guest arrivals and departures during peak times by assisting with greetings, room orientations, or luggage coordination.
Brand Ambassador
  • Represent InterContinental values, culture, and standards through every interaction.
  • Stay up to date with hotel services, promotions, outlet timings, and local area attractions.
  • Actively promote hotel facilities, dining options, and guest loyalty programs (e.g., IHG One Rewards).
  • Deliver small gestures of delight (welcome drinks, cultural greetings, personalized notes) to enhance the guest journey.
What we need from you
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or tourism diploma preferred.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages (Arabic, French, Russian, etc.) are a plus.
Experience
  • 1–2 years of experience in a customer‑facing or guest relations role, preferably within luxury hotels or hospitality.
  • Previous experience in Front Office, Concierge, or Lobby Hosting is highly desirable.
