Role Summary
We are hiring a meticulous Accountant to own voyage and corporate accounting for a round-the-clock tanker operation. You will manage invoicing, voyage P&Ls, cash and VAT compliance while partnering with Chartering, Operations and Insurance & Claims to resolve discrepancies fast and keep liquidity flowing.
Key Responsibilities
Invoice & Receivable Management
• Issue hire, freight and bunker-adjustment invoices with NOR, SOF and bunker receipts
• Maintain ageing schedule and follow up on overdue balances
• Reconcile remittances and resolve payment queries
Voyage Accounting & Reporting
• Set up voyages in Veson IMOS with accurate cost estimates
• Post final P&Ls, TCEs and variance notes at voyage completion
• Support monthly performance packs for management
Ledger, Close & Fixed Assets
• Record daily transactions with correct cost codes and VAT treatment
• Deliver clean trial balance within five working days of month-end
• Maintain fixed-asset register and depreciation schedules
Who We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce; CPA / ACCA / CA preferred
• 7-10 years of accounting experience in shipping, oil & gas or logistics
• Advanced Excel and ERP skills; Veson IMOS experience is an advantage
• Deep knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT regulations
• Accuracy, deadline discipline and readiness to support a 24/7 operation
