A financial consulting firm in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Accountant / Assistant Manager to join its finance team. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in sectors such as power, utilities, concessions, construction, or oil & gas, with strong knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS. You will be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. This position requires excellent analytical and communication skills.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS, and financial reporting standards.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in power, utilities, concessions, construction, or oil & gas.
Experience in project finance, working with lenders, and debt structuring is mandatory.
Responsabilités
Prepare and maintain financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
Conduct financial analyses and provide insights for management decision-making.
Manage accounts payable including purchase orders, bank payments, and vendor reconciliations.
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual account closings.
Prepare financial reports and assist in budgeting and forecasting.
Coordinate with auditors to ensure compliance.
Handle cash management and treasury functions.
Ensure compliance with VAT and other tax regulations.
