About the role

There are a few things we look for when adding top talent to our team:

How you will make an impact
  • Be the first person on the ground for Figment in the Middle East.
  • Drive business growth in the MENA region by identifying and executing on new opportunities to increase revenue for our institutional staking business.
  • Play a key role in supporting major regulatory/policy efforts, and subsequently ensuring that Figment operates in full compliance with applicable local regulatory requirements.
  • Be the face of Figment in the region, including representation in media engagements, conferences and industry forums, and in meetings with local clients and regulators.
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to inform products and user experiences highly-adapted to the needs of regional clients.
  • Provide Figment’s leadership team with insights on regional market trends, competitive dynamics, and strategic corporate opportunities.
Who you are
  • 5+ years of relevant experience (some or all of this in the Middle East).
  • Currently working in the Middle East and forged strong relationships with crypto and TradFi clients in the region.
  • Experience in the family office, asset management, VC or fund space in the Middle East.
  • Demonstrated success meeting/exceeding quarterly and annual new business sales targets.
  • Proven track record of filling the sales funnel with qualified leads and nurturing those leads through the sales cycle and then managing and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Success in driving customer expansion and advocating internally for customers’ unique needs.
  • Experience using CRM tools to track leads and new opportunities.
  • Keen interest in crypto/blockchain with a familiarity of staking.
  • Self-starter who is excited at the prospect of growing a business in a fast developing sector. Someone who is ready to get involved with every stage of the sales cycle.
  • Pragmatic and solutions-oriented: always looking for more efficient and effective ways to do things.
  • Has a high EQ and love working with a growing team.
  • Past experience in engaging with financial and legal regulators and managing a business/business unit subject to regulatory oversight.
  • Excellent business communication skills in English and the ability to work effectively in a remote-first organization. Arabic language skills are a plus.
  • Good understanding of how the various functions of a regulated financial services business operate (e.g. Compliance, Finance, Risk, Treasury, Audit, Outsourcing).
  • Experience in working with a multi-national business.

This position will be located in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, working remotely with our global team.
