You light the way.More about the roleThis is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as a Logistics Manager in South Africa.

• Logistics & Supply Chain Operations : - Manage inbound and outbound logistics, warehousing, distribution, and transportation functions.
• Optimize routing, scheduling, and delivery operations to ensure timely fulfilment.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to maintain optimal stock.
• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with South African customs and logistics regulations.
• Financial Management & Cost Control : - Develop and manage logistics budgets, cost forecasts, and financial reports.
• Conduct cost analysis to identify inefficiencies, overspending, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Implement cost-avoidance strategies through vendor negotiation and process optimization.
• Evaluate logistics contracts and service provider agreements with a focus on ROI and total cost of ownership.
• Performance Management & KPI Tracking : - Define, implement, and track KPIs for logistics operations.
• Analyze performance data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Present KPI reports to senior management with recommendations.
• Vendor, Carrier & Stakeholder Management- Manage relationships with transporters, warehouses, freight forwarders, and 3PL providers.
• Conduct supplier performance evaluations and ensure compliance with SLAs.
• Coordinate collaboration with finance, procurement, operations, and sales teams.
• Compliance, Risk Management & Quality Assurance : - Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and labour regulations in South Africa.
• Oversee risk management practices to mitigate transport and supply chain disruptions.
• Maintain quality standards for goods handling, storage, and distribution.
• Systems, Reporting & Continuous Improvement- Utilize ERP / WMS / TMS systems to optimize operational accuracy.
• Drive digital transformation initiatives within logistics operations.
• Lead continuous improvement programs using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
• More about youWhile we value and appreciate all applicants, we believe that the following experience and skills will be needed to shine brightly in this job opening : Qualifications & Experience- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
• 5–10 years' experience in logistics or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis.
• Experience working with KPIs, dashboards, and performance management.
